It can be confusing to choose between two Samsung phones. Design-wise, they will almost likely look the same. There’s usually only a slight difference in features. In this case, the comparison is about Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit and Galaxy J3 Luna Pro.
Orbit and Luna both came from similar J3 series. The former is launched in 2018 while Luna is a 2017 phone. They share almost the same size and weight. They both also come in black color only. Verizon is the one who distributes Orbit, while T-Mobile is in charge of Luna.
Both phones has a 5-inch TFT display. The display resolution is also identical at 720 x 1280 pixels, equals 294 ppi in pixel density. Looking at the front part, the difference lies in the absence of hardware buttons on J3 Orbit. It already uses on-screen soft-buttons unlike Luna.
J3 Orbit 3 also have a better camera setup. The rear camera has an 8 MP lens. The front-facing camera is 5 MP, the same resolution as Luna’s rear camera. For the front camera, Luna has only a 2 MP lens. Here, Orbit 3 is clearly the winner.

The rest of the features are pretty much the same. Both J3 Orbit and Luna Pro uses the same Li-ion, removable battery. They are twins down to battery capacity, having 2600 mAh each. Both also features 16 GB of storage that’s expandable.
The two phones are capable of a 4G LTE connection. users can also enjoy Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Both phones also offer micro-USB port and a headphone jack. Lastly, they’re both are hearing aid compatible.
