Alcatel Raven LTE and LG Rebel 3 are both released in 2018. Categorized among entry-level gadgets, these two phone offers all what’s needed to have a basic yet fully functional communication device. In general, both are almost identical in terms of features. It can be hard to pick between the two.
As the core of their performance, Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 powers both Raven and Rebel 3. This processor runs on 1.1 GHz clock speed, a bit below average by today’s standard. For GPU, Snapdragon 210 comes with Adreno 304.
Android version on both models uses the 2018 latest, Android 7.0 Nougat. These phones support SMS, multimedia messaging such as MMS, IM, and also email. For multimedia and entertainment, they support the most popular audio and video formats available. Both are also Hearing Aid Compatible with M3/T3 rating.
Display quality slightly differs between the two. Although they both have 5 inches display and the same resolution at 480 x 854 pixels, LG Rebel 3 wins by a little. LG uses IPS screen on Rebel 3, which is better compared to Raven’s TFT display.
There’s also a difference in the camera, to be specific, the front-facing camera. For users who prefer better quality selfies and video calls, it’s recommended to choose LG Rebel 3. It’s because Rebel 3 installs 5 MP front-facing camera while Raven only has 2 MP camera. The rear camera on both phones are similar in term of resolution, but in this case, Raven wins because it can record 1080p videos.
In terms of power, LG Rebel 3 offers a bigger capacity. At 2500 mAh, Rebel 3 can power the phone on standby for up to 11 days. On the other hand, Raven comes with a 2200 mAh battery. It can reach up to 7 days of stand by time, lower than LG, but Raven has a longer talk time at 14 hours.
